University of Ljubljana – Centre for Social Informatics (CSI)
The Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences is a recognised research centre in the areas of internet society research and social science methodology. CSI has been a project partner in more than 50 international projects (FP5, FP6, FP7, ESS, COST, PIAAC, LLP, Erasmus+, EU tenders) related also to the fields of studying the needs, skills, use, usability and benefits related to (also AAL) smart solu-tions for older people and informal carers. Current projects include an intervention study on eCare (usability tests of supportive technologies in smartphones), a representative study on older adults’ interest in the usage of supportive AAL Joint Programme i-evAALution AAL-2017: i-evAALution 21 technologies and “Ithaca” which aims to refine regional policies to scale up innovative health and care solutions (Interreg project). CSI researchers publish for leading publishers and in highly cited journals.
